What Our Students Say
Thank you very much !
I found both courses to be beneficial from the amount of information and the practical aspects shown in the courses. The presenters and instructors are top notch.
I would recommend either courses to those new to the industry and also those who might want to expand their skill set.
-Jen Rosen
I’m genuinely interested in these topics and currently reading Anatomy Trains by Thomas Myers, so it was especially useful to receive practical applications of the concepts — structured flows and actionable movement strategies that can be implemented immediately.
The instructor presented the material in a very structured way, while keeping the tone engaging and slightly playful, which made the learning process enjoyable rather than overly academic or dry.
I also appreciated the additional materials provided alongside the course.
If I had to suggest one improvement, I would say that incorporating more visual aids could enhance the learning experience even further. That said, this did not affect the quality or value of the content itself. Perhaps we are simply becoming accustomed to increasingly high production standards in online education.
Overall, it was a very worthwhile experience, and I’m glad I took both levels.
Personal Trainer Certification
Frequenty Asked Questions (FAQs)
Is this a certification or a qualification?
In the United States and Canada, this course is best described as an International Personal Trainer Certification.
It awards a professional certification upon completion, based on internationally recognised standards.
Is this certification legitimate?
Yes. This certification is delivered through an approved international awarding organisation and is regulated through the UK’s national qualifications system. It is aligned with professional industry standards for personal trainers.
Is this course NCCA-accredited?
No. This course is not NCCA-accredited.
This Personal Trainer certification follows a different pathway. It is delivered through an internationally regulated education system rather than a US exam-accreditation body, which is what allows it to support international recognition and portability, rather than being limited to the US market.
Can I legally call myself a Certified Personal Trainer after completing this course?
Yes. Upon successful completion, you earn a Personal Trainer certification, and you may describe yourself as a Certified Personal Trainer
Will gyms in the US accept this certification?
Acceptance depends on the individual gym, studio, or employer.
Many US gyms accept internationally recognised certifications, especially for independent trainers, online coaches, private studios, and self-employed professionals. We recommend checking directly with any employer you plan to work with.
Can I work as a Personal Trainer in the US with this certification?
The US does not have a national licensing system for personal trainers. This means employment requirements are set by gyms and employers, not the government.
This certification meets international professional standards, which many employers consider acceptable, but final acceptance is always at the employer’s discretion.
Is this certification recognised internationally?
Yes.
On completion of the course you can register with CIMSPA (UK’s professional standards body for fitness and physical activity professionals).
CIMSPA is a mmber of iCREPs, the global registry for exercise professionals, which supports international recognition and portability of fitness qualifications.
Is this course government-regulated?
Yes — outside the US.
The qualification is regulated through the UK’s national education framework, which is government-overseen. While the US does not regulate personal training qualifications, this provides an additional layer of credibility and quality assurance.
How does this compare to US certifications like NASM or ACE?
This certification is different in structure, not lesser.
US certifications are typically exam-based credentials, while this program is a comprehensive professional qualification that includes structured learning, assessment, and practical standards aligned with international frameworks.
Is this suitable if I want to train clients online?
Yes. This certification is well-suited for:
Online coaching
Self-employed trainers
Private studios
International or remote clients
Online coaching in particular does not require US-specific accreditation, making international certifications a strong option.
Do I need insurance in the US?
Yes. If you plan to train clients in the US, you should obtain personal trainer liability insurance from a US provider. Insurance requirements are separate from certification and vary by provider.
Who is this certification best for?
This certification is ideal for aspiring personal trainers and coaches who want an internationally recognised qualification that allows them to work online or across multiple countries, rather than being limited to a single market.
