Facebook Ad Shortcuts: The Easy Way

Facebook Ad Shortcuts: The Easy Way:

Hi guys! It’s Jono here today! How was your weekend? Mine was awesome! We’re about to release a new CEC course which is going to be AMAZING!I was working hard at it on Saturday and so it should be finished this week. I’m super excited 🙂

Anyways, What I want to talk about this week is Facebook Ads! It’s such an interesting topic because pretty much every trainer knows how important Facebook Ads can be for generating business and most trainers have tried them, but haven’t been overly successful and have given up. To be honest, that was me a few years ago. However, now I’m pretty confident with them and so, I’d like to share my story with you.

A few years ago, I was so keen on learning how to do Facebook Ads for 3 main reasons

1) I thought it was “cool” / “trendy”. I was listening to a lot of podcasts from entrepreneurs and they were all doing it and made it sound so easy such as: “oh yeah! I put $10 on Facebook Ads and make $100 back each time”. (Note: doing it because “it’s cool” is the worst reason to do it, but the next two are good).

b) I knew it was cheap. I could decide how much money I wanted to spend per day (minimum is $1) and I could cancel at any time. At that stage, I didn’t have a lot of money and any other form of advertising was very expensive (letterbox drop, flyers, newspapers, etc). So, being able to advertise at a $1 a day, I was pretty much sold :-p

c) I knew I could target via location. This was the biggest thing for me. I would meet a lot of people but they would be from all over Sydney and even if someone was keen, there would always be another Bootcamp “closer” to them. Alternatively, whenever I met someone who lived right near where I trained, I noticed there were even willing to pay more for the Bootcamp due to the convenience! So, being able to target people within a couple of kilometers of where I trained meant I’d get “hotter leads” who were willing to pay more. This had me sold too!

So points B and C had me sold. I could spend as little money as I wanted to and I could target only people that lived right near my training location. It was too good to be true and so I did it. I put together a post on Facebook and “boosted” it for like $7 a day or something for a week.

AND…

it SUCKED!!!! I think it got a few random likes from my mum and some of my clients and a new follower or two, but I didn’t get any new clients from it. I was close to giving up, but I knew there was a way. So, I hired a business coach. I’ll share we you what he taught me in the next blog, but in the meantime, Brenda our marketing manager is going to do a FREE training for our VIP members this month: “How to Generate Leads from Facebook Ads”.

At Fitness Education Online over the past few years, we’ve spent thousands of dollars on Facebook Ad coaches and we personally spend thousands of dollars every month on Facebook Ads. Brenda will summarise all that in this month’s training!
