Celebrating the visionaries shaping the West Coast wellness community.

By Fitness Education Online

British Columbia is famous for its breathtaking landscapes and active lifestyle, but the true heartbeat of its fitness culture lies in its people. We are incredibly proud to present the Top 10 Fitness Leaders of British Columbia—a celebration of the coaches, educators, and mentors who are making a profound difference every single day.

At FEO, we know that true leadership in fitness isn’t about having the most complex business model or the loudest online presence. It’s about creating welcoming spaces, guiding clients with empathy, and committing to lifelong learning. The ten leaders highlighted below embody these values perfectly. They are lifting up their communities, breaking down barriers to exercise, and showing that a successful, sustainable fitness career is built on a foundation of genuine care.

Whether you are just starting your journey as a trainer or looking for fresh inspiration to grow your own community, these stories are a testament to what is possible when you lead with heart. Let’s meet the leaders who are elevating the standard of health and wellness across BC!

1.     HANNAH FLETCHER (@hannahfitness) Independent Personal Trainer, British Columbia

Looking ahead, Hannah has declared 2026 as her “year of emergence.” Armed with two decades of practical expertise, she is focused on expanding her impact and helping even more people move forward on their wellness journeys.

“I meet clients where they are with a lot of support and compassion, keep things fun, and help them find meaningful ways to move forward.”

2.     JENNA MAYE (@Jennamayefitness) Virtual Strength Coach, British Columbia

With nearly 20 years in the fitness industry, Jenna’s journey began with a complete personal reinvention—shifting from someone who avoided breaking a sweat in high school to a dedicated fitness leader. This highly relatable background allows her to connect deeply with clients who might feel intimidated by traditional exercise.

Her coaching goes far beyond standard programming; Jenna blends science with empathy and real-life practicality to help women rebuild trust with their bodies. Moving into 2026, her primary goal is to expand her virtual community, empowering more women to build grounded, sustainable strength that enhances their daily energy, mood, and long-term longevity.

“What makes me unique is that I don’t just coach workouts. I help women rebuild trust with their bodies. My approach blends science with empathy and real life. Strength, but in a way that feels grounded and sustainable.”

3.    DAWN JOSEPH (@simplycorefit) Core Specialist, British Columbia

With an impressive 30 years in the industry, Dawn has established herself as a true expert in the field. As a Core Specialist, she focuses on the deep stabilizing systems that many standard programs overlook, building a reputation for identifying issues before they become limitations. Her coaching is precise, intentional, and designed to be immediately transferrable to real life and sport.

Moving forward, Dawn is dedicated to public education through core testing, aiming to help individuals understand the true value of a functional core and prevent training-related injuries. Her ultimate goal is to empower clients to regain control over their bodies.

“It’s not about how they look, it’s about the client trusting their own body to not fail them.”

4.     PJ (@fitnesswithpj) Creator of Over Fifty Fitness, British Columbia

With 32 years of experience in the fitness industry, PJ brings an invaluable perspective, having navigated decades of fitness trends to focus strictly on what actually works. What sets her apart is her deep authenticity: she doesn’t just train women over 50; she is a woman over 50. PJ understands firsthand the physical and hormonal changes her clients experience, allowing her to design programs rooted in real, lived experience rather than just textbook theory.

Looking toward 2026, PJ aims to expand her Over Fifty Fitness community. She views her established YouTube channel as the “front porch”—a welcoming space for women to connect with her coaching style before joining her app, where the real community building and long-term progress take place.

“Honestly, it’s because I’m right there in the trenches with my subscribers. I’m not just a trainer for women over 50; I am a woman over 50. I completely get the challenges… So when I design a workout, it’s coming from a place of real, lived-in experience.”

5.     SEAN ALLT (@seanalltcpt) Adventure & Fitness Coach, British Columbia

Active in the fitness industry since 2007 and working as a dedicated 1:1 coach since 2009, Sean Allt is on a mission to break the traditional mold of “fitness for fat loss.” Instead, he focuses entirely on what physical training makes the human body capable of achieving. Specializing in outdoor preparation, Sean trains his clients to tackle monumental challenges in wild places—from summiting Mount Kilimanjaro to trekking the Inca Trail, the Tour du Mont Blanc, and Patagonia’s O-Circuit.

For Sean, the gym is simply a training ground for real-world exploration. Moving into 2026, his primary goal is to help at least 30 individuals successfully conquer their ultimate bucket list adventures, building the physical resilience required to create lifelong memories.

“I’m determined to break the mold of ‘fitness for fat loss’ and refocus on what building fitness makes us CAPABLE OF, and creating memories to last a lifetime!”

6.     NICK MUELLER (@Coachmueller) Kinesiologist & Golf Performance Coach, British Columbia

Entering his 20th year in the industry, Nick Mueller brings a wealth of expertise as a kinesiologist and performance coach. Specializing in golf, he sets himself apart with his high-energy approach and his ability to seamlessly blend performance concepts from multiple sports into his training. Nick is a strong advocate for collaboration, actively working as a team with other coaches to ensure his athletes have a comprehensive and unified support system.

Working with both junior and professional golfers, Nick’s primary focus moving forward is on the next generation of athletes. His biggest goal is to physically and mentally prepare as many junior players for the collegiate level as possible, setting them up for long-term success.

“What makes me unique is my energy, my ability to blend multiple sport performance concepts together and use them in golf, and my desire to work as a team with other coaches to help the athlete achieve their goals.”

7.     RAFAL MATUSZEWSKI (@Rafmatuszewski) Founder of LIFT Collective & Mobility Specialist, British Columbia

With over 15 years in the fitness industry, Rafal Matuszewski specializes in bridging the gap between rehabilitation and high performance. Driven by a passion for helping clients who were previously told they just “have to live with” their pain, his approach centers on mobility, joint health, and functional strength. Rafal goes beyond simply prescribing workouts; he educates his clients on their own biomechanics to build true, long-term physical resilience.

As the founder of LIFT Collective, Rafal’s primary goal for 2026 is scaling his impact without compromising quality. He is dedicated to mentoring other trainers, expanding his educational platform, and building niche digital programs—such as specialized mobility training for equestrian athletes—to make his expertise accessible to people anywhere.

“I don’t just give workouts—I teach people how their bodies actually work. At the end of the day, my goal isn’t just to make people sweat—it’s to make them resilient.”

8.     DANIELA DIB (@danieladibfitness) Founder of Dibfit, Vancouver, BC

Daniela Dib’s journey into the fitness industry is rooted in a highly disciplined background in professional dance. After training with Canada’s National Ballet School and working in television and commercials, she transitioned into full-time fitness through yoga and Pilates. Her career quickly accelerated, leading her to teach at SoulCycle across New York City, Los Angeles, and Vancouver before opening her own studio, Dibfit, in 2022.

As a coach, Daniela’s strongest asset is her ability to inspire through motivational speaking. For her, physical fitness is simply a vehicle for building mental resilience. Moving into 2026, her primary goal is to expand her digital footprint and cultivate a larger online community, bringing her signature mindset-first approach to a wider audience.

“Dibfit is not just about the physical transformation that comes from working out. We emphasize a stronger and powerful mindset that will transform your mental strength in all areas of life.”

9.     MORGAN HODGE (@morganhodge) Leader at Function Health Club & Founder of Resilient Leadership, British Columbia

His ultimate mission is to produce not just fit individuals, but deeply resilient humans and elite-level coaches.

For 2026, Morgan’s primary goal isn’t rapid expansion, but depth—depth of impact, systems, and team leadership. Beyond the gym floor, he is expanding “Resilient Leadership” into a broader platform designed to help coaches and entrepreneurs master self-leadership before attempting to scale their businesses. His focus remains firmly on the long game, developing his team and watching members grow in confidence over years, not weeks.

“What makes us unique is that we don’t separate performance, mindset, and systems. We blend them. We’re not chasing trends. We’re building longevity both physically and professionally.”

10.  ANDREW ABRAHAM ALCALDE (@andrewabrahamalcalde) BCRPA Registered Fitness Leader & Group Instructor, British Columbia

His approach to fitness is deeply rooted in connection and inclusivity, carrying on the legacy of the mentors who first inspired him. For Andrew, fitness extends far beyond the studio walls; it is about creating a safe, non-judgmental environment where clients of all shapes, sizes, and backgrounds can let loose and have fun.

Moving into 2026, his primary goal remains steadfast: building community. Andrew’s coaching philosophy is anchored in a simple but powerful motto—focus on the way you feel, not the way you look. He is dedicated to spreading words of affirmation, helping individuals empower themselves, build lasting confidence, and celebrate every victory, no matter how small.

“What makes me authentic is my ability to connect with my clients that goes beyond the fitness studio. I made a promise to myself that if I were to become an industry professional, I would carry on this legacy of creating an inclusive, non-judgmental community.”
